Move Better. Feel Better. Perform Better.
Makenna Thiffault, B.Kin. B.A

Growing up, Makenna was deeply involved in competitive dance as both a student and a teacher. Her personal experiences with injuries as a dancer fueled her passion for rehabilitation and injury prevention, ultimately leading Makenna to earn a double Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Dance from the University of Calgary.

During her undergraduate studies, Makenna gained valuable experience working with kinesiologists, physiotherapists, and chiropractors at various multidisciplinary health clinics. Since graduating in 2023, she has worked in Victoria as a personal strength and rehabilitation coach for clients varying in age and ability. At Total Body Health, she has collaborated extensively with Dr. Maxwell and the other kinesiologists, integrating their insights into her practice.
Makenna uses an evidence-based approach to her kinesiology practice. Starting with a comprehensive assessment, she takes time to teach her clients the foundations of every movement chosen to ensure proper progression. There is nothing more fufilling to Makenna than helping others reach their health and fitness goals in a safe and sustainable way.
Although her career has evolved beyond dance, Makenna’s love for it remains strong. She is excited to combine her passions by helping injured dancers recover and return to the stage through dance-specific kinesiology. Dancer or not, she looks forward to supporting you on your journey to moving better.
